Ya - if you haven't noticed the disclaimer of this website; it truly is best viewed with a beer in your hand. Its no lie that we love our beer here at Lunatic, so we made it a point to try and review some of the good/bad beers that we come across. We are leaving out the usual brands that we come to know on a day to day basis, like Bud, Bud light, Miller lite, Natural light and Coors light. Instead we are looking for beers out of the ordinary. From time to time, we might have a different person review the beer, but for most part, it will be the one of the four lunatics below..

MEET THE BEER DRINKERS:

GOOD BEER/BAD BEER REVIEWS

TROPICAL LIGHT - Distributed in Southern Mexico by Groupo Modelo (Corona) -
Alex - Damn smooth beer! Light as hell and still very tasty. No skunky after taste at all like alot Mexican beers out there. Truly refreshing but might not be a beer for those who prefer heavy tasting beers. Definately a GOOD BEER !
Ted - Tropical beer is a light lager. No skunk in the taste or aroma, goes down very smooth with a clean finish. Malty taste, needs no salt and lime to enhance flavor. Good beer !

Molson Canadian - Distributed Worldwide by Molson/Coors Brewery (a division of SABMILLER)-
Alex - Damn, we drink alot of beer ! I hope my prostate holds up. Anyway, yes , this is a Canadian Lager and like many lagers, it packs a punch. I must say, it is truly a full bodied beer. It doesnt lack in any of its properties. I would say that the Canadians make sure you taste them hops in their beer and this is very true for Molson Canadian. It finishes off decently dry and a bit of a blonde taste to it. Still, I must say , I've had better, but its not so bad really. I'll lean on the GOOD BEER staple , especially for $3.99 a six pack at Holiday Wine and Liquor.
Ted - This Canadian Lager delivers a heavy dose of hops taste, it packs quite a punch…it bruised my liver! It has bit of an aftertaste with a dry finish. Overall it goes down smooth; this beer is definitely not a beer for the casual “light-beer” aficionado. I place this beer on the Good Beer Tier.

Stella Artois - Distributed Worldwide by InBev (the guys that bought out Budwieser), Leuven, Belgium .
Alex - Well first of all, I'm not too happy that InBev bought out Anheuser-Busch, but I decided to give a product of theirs a try. Now its hard to say goodbye to the last real American beer, but at least they held out longer than the rest of the other American brewerys. Now if you think that Miller Lite was the last real American beer; you're wrong - them sell outs gave it up to the South Africans about 7 years ago, so thats why its called SAB Miller. Now right before, the sell out, both companies agreed on a final sale price of $52 million dollars and 2 Board of Director seats to be taken by the highest ranking Busch siblings of the former Anheuser Busch, now Anheuser-Busch InBev, which is the now the biggest brewery in the world. Now that we are past the bio, lets get to the beer. This is a non twist off bottle, so when you crack it open the first thing that hits you is the aroma of the beer. Definately different from your ordinary domestic beer. A small scent of skunk is present when you open it, but this is the good skunk. This is not the caca tasting skunk of an old mexican beer that was left out in the sun. A small head of foam tipped the bottle and down went the first drink of this Belgium favorite. Hmmm - this is not a beer for the light beer drinker; its a malt liquor @ 5.2 % alcohol by volume. On top of that, they cheat you out of the full 12 ounces (each bottle is 11.2 ounces). Not bad at all. Good full flavored beer, with a bite at the end. Doesn't taste as heavy as it really is. You can taste the European in it. Its a good balance of ingredients, with a malty taste in the end. If I hadn't paid over $9 bucks a six pack for it, maybe I'd be happier, but still, its a pretty damn good beer. So in conclusion = we place it to hold a GOOD BEER status, but just not worth the money you pay for it.
