The band Gods Last Breath is a name that RP and Albert came up with a few years back when they were on a road trip to Ozzfest in 2003. Albert and RP were both members of Dying Embrace at the time. Later RP quit Dying Embrace, but stayed friends with the whole band and even made music with Albert. RP continued with his new band,I Should’ve Been Dead", but the group later broke up and this left RP and Mike out in the cold. Although Mike and Albert still had a few shows left with Dying Embrace to occupy their time, they started playing with Albert’s friend Sergio on drums. Eventually they got a song down and after a few line up changes they got to what they have today; Mike (bass), Albert (guitar), RP (guitar), Sergio (drums) and the last but not the least THE GODS LAST BREATH BEER BONGER!!!! These guys are a metal band but they sure do love to throw in some thrash into the mix. Like many local bands, these guys are influenced by great metal giants like Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and modern day bands like Darkest House, Every time I die, and Between the Burried and Me. They also have faves of death metal bands like The Crown, and God Dethroned. They see their bands future as strong as long as theres a steady flow of shows, it keeps a smile on their butts…..they mean faces! “I think the scene is segregated and should be more unified like back when Robert from Scarabaeus was around,” shares RP.
Gods Last Breath should have some new songs coming out and an new EP should be out by Feb. 2007. They all inspire themselves to write new material, they work together like a band should. They have about 8 songs in total along with some intros and outros. They also have about 3 songs sitting around that they have yet to play live. As far as other musical projects; there isn't any besides the former than Dying Embrace, I Should’ve Been Dead and Frankenstein’s Wife. These guys would love to share the stage with anyone who would like to and enjoy a good a show; they are up for playing with any band at any time…they say BRING IT!
