LUNATIC PRODUCTIONS Band Bios - First Born From the Dead - by : Amanda Firstborn From The Dead Firstborn From The Dead started out as Bitter Tears with Gilbert, Izzy, and Danny. When Danny left the vocalist position, Thomas picked up where he left off. They carried Bitter Tears on for a little while longer until there was a suggestion for a name change. Serge soon joined the band as a bassist right afterwards. In 2003 Firstborn From The Dead was the new official name. They went though a few second guitar line up changes, but finally figured out that everyone’s spot within the band. About 4-5years is about how long they have been together. Officially with the name FBFTD was introduced around 2004. The members in FBFTD are Gilbert-Lead Guitar, Izzy-Drums, Serge-Second Guitar, Collin-Bass, and Thomas-Vocals. FBFTD are generally classified as hardcore/happy hardcore/post-hardcore band….hardcore just to simplify. They are influenced by bands such as; Falling Cycle, MeWithOutYou, As I Lay Dying, Converge and so much more!!! “I see our band maturing, or less. I can already see it now as we still play shows. For one, our style of music seems to be altering every so often. We’ve gotten faster, heavier, and a lot more energetic. It’s a hope for most bands, to one day get signed, we just happened to be one of those bands with a hope. Mainly, we just want to keep on praising, sharing, and worship the Love of God with everyone in the scene,” shares Thomas. “A lot of people in the scene today have known us for quite a long time already. We came into this scene as a God loving, God fearing, Christian Hardcore band, and we have always been welcomed to play a great number of shows. Our ministry was never meant to say in between the church walls, we want to be out where the people are,” Thomas shares once again. Currently, Thomas is the second vocalist for These Hands Are Killers, Serge is still the guitarist and singer for XSevenX, Collin is also playing bass for XThe New NoiseX, Izzy will SOON BE A FATHER!! Gilbert’s main focus is this band, as it is for all of us; this FBFTD always band priority number One!!
